One of our latest contracts has been working on the Scottish Care Information Diabetes Collaboration project as part of our ongoing work with the NHS.
Our experts were tasked with reviewing all current data processing activities and devising a series of improvements.

The client’s objectives were clear; to improve data processing performance and make the application more robust whilst also improving data integrity and the reporting of issues. As part of this they were also eager for us to define a series of database implementation standards that could be followed by NHS software development staff working within the Clinical Technology Centre.
As part of the project we designed a new system allowing errors to be reported as they occur and tools to measure processing times, both of which are essential for achieving the client’s goals. This involved us developing a new data processing engine and a site for monitoring data processing servers. The on-going project has been a success, with the NHS seeing visible results in the form of reduced data storage requirements and a faster, more productive and reliable system for processing high volumes of patient data.
